These 2 kookaburras are busily occupied eating baby snakes (right next to where I had just walked!). I am glad of this as many of our baby snakes are extremely venomous and I regularly walk in areas where they would be with my eyes looking up for the birds.
That's dreadful, when I think of all the times when I lie down on my front to take pics, I would be attacked by snakes if I were in your country! There must be loads of them if those Kookas have got one each! How do you stop your legs getting bitten?
@shepherdmanswife I definitely don't lie down in grasses or bark. I was thankful I was wearing sneakers and trousers, but really did get a shock when I blew this up on the computer at home after taking the shot and saw the snakes. I certainly didn't see these babies while walking past and am very glad the kookaburras enjoyed their meal!
