Chertsey Lock. by gamelee

Chertsey Lock.

Chertsey in Surrey, is another town that recently suffered flooding. This shot is of water being pumped into the river Thames at Chertsey lock by a high volume pump.
Love the motion you have captured in the water. Great POV and the b&w works brilliantly.

Fantastic twin streams!

Interesting capture Lee, and I like the 'lightness' of the water. Deceiving though, there will be a ton of strength behind those pumps!

Fantastic capture with the long exposure. Works well in mono.

as usual processing is top notch, I am still trying to find that magic formula for B/W conversion, the water jets have been captured beautifully

This is a great shot. You've turned something "not-so-pretty" (the flooding) into a beautiful piece of art.

Amazing, you have captured the power of the water and it looks so good in b&w. Fav. Katharine

Cool long exposure . I love silky water waterfalls but it's good to see the effect used on other water sources. Very effective.
