The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum flew their prized Avro Lancaster at southport air show today (the one on the left). They've been in England on a two month tour and will be setting of back to Canada this Tuesday. The Lancaster flew with the only other airworthy Lancaster in the world, owned and operated by the Royal Air Force's renowned Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF). It was wonderful to see, and will probably never happen again.
Beautifully done Lee. Love the processing and the way you have used the grain and vignette to age it. This could be straight from the 1940's. Fav! It was spectacular wasn't it. I managed to get over on Sat and had such a great time I went back on Sunday. If I had known you were there we could have met up for a brew.
Excellent shot and it looks fantastic with the flags in the picture and the b&w. Gives it a real vintage feel. My two all time favourite planes are the Lancaster Bomber and the Vulcan Bomber, so this works so well for me.
