"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." ~ Hans Christian Andersen
My critic, whose opinion is usually asked for, walked by and said, "That looks blurry." And I thought, oh well, I like it! What's your opinion?? (And feel free to be honest!)
It's a beautiful picture and I agree with the above comments. Most of it is meant to be "blurry" as that's the idea of bokeh. I wonder where the true DOF is as the butterfly wings look a little "soft". One doesn't have much time to be fussy in the field and it is very pretty.
Don't worry, you're not alone in getting that criticism! It is extremely difficult to get sharp focus with macro's, especially if it's handheld and you have a moving target!
Gorgeous capture. The focus on the butterfly is perhaps a little soft, but it's such a lovely pov and the bokeh is so beautiful, I have to fav this. Kim, thanks for putting one of my anemone pictures among the "Favourite Favs", I am so grateful and honoured!
