Spotted this beautiful flower against the wall of the house from 1666 (posted some days ago).
That is mammoth!

Wonderful ,and what a gorgeous specimen -- I have never been lucky with hollyhocks -- I think the soil condition and slug damage killed off my last one !

Prachtige stokroos. Fav. Ik probeer al een tijdje ze te kweken in onze tuin. worden steeds opgegeten door de slakken.

I love hollyhocks. I recently discovered they were called 'roses tremières' in France - a rather lovely name, I think.
