blowing in the wind

Pollard willows. I took this picture some time ago when we were driving through Friesland, our beautiful neighbour province.
The shape of the trunks and the funny way the leads are coming out the top make them look like crazy statues! What a fun photo an interesting too.

Lo vely straight roads with trees beside. Seems rather continental and so flat in comparison with the twists and turns of our part of the world. 😄

Our mainstreet has these. I sometimes feel sorry fir the trees but they do have personality
