Australia's floral emblem - wattle

After posting the rare red wattle, I have been searching for the yellow wattle of similar shape. Finally found it! There are over 950 varieties of the wattle and the flower is very varied in shape, but all are yellow. Also just found out we have National Wattle Day on the 1st of September. Oh well, only 8 days late :)

@gigiflower @hermann @thresheg Thanks for lovely comments and favs :)
@flyrobin @ziggy77 @darthkitty @lovise Thanks for visiting and leaving wonderful comments :)
@karlow75 @pyrrhula Tanks for great comments. I was surprised with how many varieties there are, but when you go looking for this "ball" variety you begin to realize there are so many differences! As Terry replied, Acacia is the correct name :)
@seattlite @tellefella @hellie @mccarth1 @junep @ladymagpie @denisefuller Thanks all for delightful comments. This variety is certainly one of the prettiest with its "pom poms" :)
@lynnilou Yes Lyn, I read it was regarded as a weed in Sth Africa!
@pyrrhula Yes this is from the family of Acacias- and there's over 900 varieties :)
@terryliv Thanks Terry.And thanks for answering Pyrrhula's question. My computer is in a very go slow mood so I'm having trouble viewing!
