Well this is how I felt all weekend as yet again I had computer problems - this time the internet connection crashed! Anyhow, I;m back now with a story to tell :)
On Saturday 4 of us set off on an organized tour of Middle Island where the Maremma dogs guard the penguins.We had so much fun as we had to cross the ocean at the river mouth and then climb up on top of the island with the dogs. Unfortunately we did not see any penguins :( The parents were out to sea and the chicks were hiding in their burrows! This view is looking back over Warrnambool.
I must also thank everyone for the great comments on my moon and sunrise shots last week. I have read them all, thanks. Now to try and catch up yet again :)
@tellefella What Chinese shop?? And you are only allowed on the island now on these tours. When are you heading this way? @oldjosh@mbemis@gigiflower@hermann We certainly made a great adventure out of it! The Island is a terrific spot but unfortunately we are only allowed there now on tours. i was VERY disappointed not seeing a penguin - I now have plan B! @leestevo Although it was cloudy, it actually was quite warm and humid - got to 32 degrees!
@tellefella Yep! Know the one! only 3 blocks from my place - better let me know when you're next there! Think i could tell you some better places to eat too :)
@susiemc Yes Sue. My town Warrnambool is right on the coast and this is one of the many places within walking distance around town.
