Old Andado Station by gilbertwood

Old Andado Station

What an amazing sight between two sand dunes on the western edge of the Simpson desert. Andado station was once 10,850 sq kms (4189 sq miles) and the Clark family took possession in 1955. Sadly there was a lot of tragedy and Molly Clark had to sell in 1986, but she first got the Old Andado homestead and 45 sq kms sectioned off and moved into it. Tourists can stay there and yes, we did :)

Beautiful capture of the red soil and vast landscape. Would be so isolated living out that way. Not sure I could do it.
