Last week a young man from the facebook group of photographers I follow, asked if anyone would like to join him on an adventure. This was to walk out to the Port Fairy lighthouse at 7 pm to capture the milky way over the lighthouse! Five of us joined him in the perfect (but chilly) conditions and he offered help etc to each of us. he has all the apps, etc and knew that night would be right. Thanks to Craig, I now have this photograph :) And also a plane in the middle left of the photo!!
this is where social media has an up side! what a fabulous image. it has an appealingly surreal look to it. i love all the different textures and colours in the sky
Fabulous capture. We met a young man on holiday, that had done a similar thing, his was taken over St Michaels Mount in Cornwall. A very similar picture to yours. I never knew there were apps for finding constellations etc - amazing!
Thank you so very much for deciding to follow my erratic progress, having seen this image, I have no alternative but to reciprocate - with GREAT envy!!! If you get to see the whale & post pics, consider the relationship null and void, I've only seen a fin & the chances of seeing a whole one are just about gone now Tilly has taken over my life.
Gorgeous, beautiful & wonderful sight that so few of us now have the opportunity to see, well done that young man & smart of you to join him.
