And The People Bowed and Prayed by graemestevens

And The People Bowed and Prayed

Not really what I had envisaged so it may be time to go back to the drawing board. Then again, I could just stomp my feet and have a tantrum. We shall see.
I am not qualified to offer critique but would possibly advise against using this as your family Christmas Card. Add a sprinkling of glitter though and you're away! Merry Christmas to you and yours :-)

I don't see any neon?

December 22nd, 2015
@pandorasecho Got it in one ;) I didn't turn my collar to the cold and damp either.
@motherjane It may not be a wise idea, but then when have I ever been wise?
December 22nd, 2015
Oh, I'm not going to make a judgement on this controversial arrangement! But I will say its good light and focus! Even the crown of thorns! Eeek!
December 22nd, 2015
@maggiemae Thanks very much :)
December 22nd, 2015
I do not know your original vision but this turned out to be quite a strong image. Man, very much so! I'd agree though not to use it as a Christmas card; wait till Easter.
December 22nd, 2015
I see no reason why you can't use this as a Christmas card... I use my b*** is one...*blink* Merry Christmass
December 22nd, 2015
@photohoot I'm considering having it blown up and pasting it on the local council building...
@gazdi Much better for Easter I think ;)
December 22nd, 2015
@graemestevens lol. I do hope you are talking about your shot.
December 22nd, 2015
Your photography makes my day - fav
December 22nd, 2015
I think this is a work of art! Wonderful example of black & white photography & brilliantly composed & posed by your good self!
December 22nd, 2015
Wow, just wow.
December 22nd, 2015
@photohoot Either will do...
@jocasta Thank you very much :)
@happypat Thank you so much - much appreciated
@kategoring Thanks very much, just thanks very much ;)
December 22nd, 2015
BLASPHEMOUS!!!!!!!!!
I am horrified - how could you? At this time of year?

I am going to report you to the Christmas Elves!

December 22nd, 2015
@annied I knew I could count on you to over react enough to give me a giggle
December 22nd, 2015
@graemestevens hahahahaha
not sure what your vision was but I would happily hang this next to my Neon Last Supper :)
December 22nd, 2015
where is the neon god?
December 22nd, 2015
@annied I'm sending it to all my neighbours...
@ziggy75 He was too bright, had to be disposed of in a suitably gruesome manner.
December 22nd, 2015
@graemestevens I can only begin to imagine how thrilled they will be
December 22nd, 2015
Love it!
December 22nd, 2015
@nikharris Thank you very much :)
@annied The trouble is, they're used to my...peculiarities, shall we say...
December 22nd, 2015
Holy %$*&!!!!
December 23rd, 2015
Now that is cool!!!!! Love it Graeme 😊
December 23rd, 2015
@leanne333 Thank you very much :)
@amandal Quite literally ;)
December 23rd, 2015
brilliant! ghost of Christmas future?
December 23rd, 2015
Nice work ..the ante has risen...
December 23rd, 2015
Modesty does not become you so stop being (I nearly said humble) bashful you promised and you have delivered. For effort alone this deserves a fav, which sadly is all I can award you...
December 23rd, 2015
This is an incredibly powerful image, but.... what happened to your middle? It looks like your legs were cut off and re-attached with a bit missing. Or is it me who is missing something?
December 23rd, 2015
@vignouse That's what I mean when I say not quite what I wanted. Still, plenty of room for improvement and at least my middle ged gut isn't hanging out everywhere!
@jack4john Thank you very much...no idea what I'm doing tomorrow though!
@tellefella Thanks very much - I might post a pretty little flower tomorrow...
@northy I should have done this one at Easter really...
December 23rd, 2015
Very powerful and looks like a lot of work to take and process.
December 23rd, 2015
@kt8ird Thanks very much - yep, my mouse pad is worn out
December 23rd, 2015
@graemestevens it was worth it!!
December 23rd, 2015
Great scene!
December 23rd, 2015
@kwind Thanks very much :)
December 23rd, 2015
Well executed!
December 23rd, 2015
@redy4et Thank you very much :)
December 23rd, 2015
I like touch of Christmas
December 23rd, 2015
@deliad I should have saved it for Easter but it'll do ;)
December 23rd, 2015
Thats true, end of year, fuddled brain. I think I saw the wine glasses and thought Christmas cheer, I saw the bones and thought the remains of christmas dinner, I saw hands stretched out and thought, more to give.....
December 23rd, 2015
@deliad My brain hasn't worked properly since mid-November, so i'll let you off ;)
December 23rd, 2015
It’s funny… we have a song over here…

:/:Now it’s Christmas again:/:
:/:And Christmas lasts all the way to Easter:/:

You are as (almost) always, wonderfully disturbing...
December 23rd, 2015
Ha. Now I realise it's HE with the problem. Now WE.
December 23rd, 2015
I hope he isn't allowed out!
December 23rd, 2015
Wow. That is intense. And terrifying. Well done, Graeme.
December 23rd, 2015
This is a very complex, powerful, image... really amazingly well executed. Emphasis on the "executed." :/. Fav.
December 23rd, 2015
Your imagination and creativity are unending. Well done, Graeme.
December 23rd, 2015
@bigugly Thank you very much - it helps to not be sober often...
@rosiekerr Thank you very much - I posted it on a Facebook photography page as well and nearly did get executed...
@epcello Thank you very much :)
@yrhenwr He might do some Christmas shopping today...
@mastermek LOL, yep...something like that ;)
@bankmann That seem to fit quite nicely...and that you :)
December 23rd, 2015
Brilliant effect Graeme...Fav
December 23rd, 2015
You have a very vivid and wickedly humorous imagination. You're also one of the most photogenic people I've ever seen. Your expressions and body placement, etc. just brings the viewer in - almost like a train wreck where we can't stop staring lol. I absolutely love to see what you come up with time after time and you never fail to disappoint. I also love reading all the comments that people leave on your photos - makes for a great read! I also love that you don't "conform to the norm." Very well done as always, Graeme!
December 23rd, 2015
@tonygig Thanks very much :)
@not_left_handed Thank you very much - far too kind...and what is this "normal" of which you speak? ;)
December 23rd, 2015
Ah, Graeme and his favorite things! Reminds me of a bower bird nest: http://www.viralforest.com/bower-bird/
December 23rd, 2015
@blueberry1222 Everybody needs a hobby ;)
December 23rd, 2015
Awesome shot, I do imagine a lot of effort went into making it, even if it's not what you had in mind. And when you have your tantrum, don't forget to hold your breath and go red too (it works for me :)
December 23rd, 2015
@karlow75 Thanks very much - it's just not quite right...hey ho, it is what it is. I had a run in with a shop proprietor a few weeks ago that went an horrific shade of red when I repeatedly and politely asked for my money back on a faulty product...it might be more fun to do that again than me having tantrum.
December 23rd, 2015
Haha you warned us!! Very cool shot, like it a lot. It is so bizarre and in a good way... if that makes sense. No tantrums allowed, also - have a redo if that's not what you wanted. :)
December 23rd, 2015
@kerosene I don't know that I can bothered setting it all up again!!!
December 23rd, 2015
I think I can say, it was worth waiting for!
December 23rd, 2015
@shepherdmanswife Thank you kindly, always appreciated :)
December 24th, 2015
Excellent shot. I like the clarity, and those rays. Not nearly as scary as I was led to expect.
December 24th, 2015
@888rachel Sorry to have let you down, I'll try harder in future ;) And thanks very much :)
December 24th, 2015
....to the neon god they made?! I don't quite see you making Santa's Nice List this year.....or, any other year for that matter! Seriously impressive shot!!
December 24th, 2015
@panthora Thank you very much - being on either of his lists has never been a priority for me ;)
December 24th, 2015
Fantastic fav
December 24th, 2015
@dh Thank you very much :)
December 24th, 2015
I look at this and see the thorn of crowns, with the nail pierced hands, the chains over death and this was done near Christmas time. My thought Jesus was born, to die and break the chains over death. Very intriguing photo.
February 2nd, 2016
@juleshoogstraanderson Thank you very much - I was never overly happy this one, and I'm not sure now what my though process was...
