I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@annied sorry to disagree but although it is pointy like a rocket ship, it's definitely a lighty thingy. Graeme knows whereof he speaks. It is, I think we all can agree, a masterful photograph of the thingy. Bravo!
Is this by your house to warn unsuspecting, sensitive souls away from the rocks of the Stevens barbed tongue? Oh, it's just a regular lighthouse... well it gets a regular Fav then.
@vignouse We lived about 2 miles from this for a few years, in a small (very small) village called Pungarehu, which I believe translates loosely as "Fiery Ashes". Not long after we moved our house was demolished. Go figure. @karlow75 Thanks awfully...it was sheer fluke really as it was far too cold to loiter and be a perfectionist. @susiangelgirl Thank you so much - don't panic, I'll make a mess of it soon enough! @julzmaioro Thank you very much :) @kali66 You do indeed. Lets hope I can keep the photos to this sort of thing. For everyones sake. @mcsiegle Thank you kindly - I do have an almost intimate knowledge of said pointy thingy as we used to live about 2 miles from it for quite some time. @annied Silly me. I should have known...when will I ever learn?
@pdulis Thank you very much :) @yaorenliu Thank you kindly :) @northy We have two...but this is the nice one. The other one has been labelled as "historic" and has been over run by displays, a poor cafe and minimal maintenance. @hermann I like to use technical terms whenever possible... @swillinbillyflynn Ba boom, I see what you did there :))
@novab Thank you very much - some of the people that follow this project are lunatics ;) @salza Thank you very much - the ground is quite rocky here so you do have to tread...lightly...
At least you didn't say it was a phallus! I really like this and not just the pointy light thing. The distant echoes of the lighthouse, lower left, and that expanse of interesting clouds provide balance; the exposure is perfect too. fav
@radiogirl You're right of course but I was using the technically correct terminology ;) @pinkpaintpot Thank you very much :) @kerosene I have posted it before (in colour even) but that was many moons ago. @maggiemae Thank you very much - Alzheimer's has been cutting in for some time now... @yrhenwr Thank you very much - for a change I took a shot that didn't require substantial editing! @tonygig Thank you very much :)
