We had a slight delay to our flight from Prague and then 2 attempts at landing in Split due to an overly enthusiastic thunder storm striking the airport...and then another 1 1/2 hours waiting for our luggage to arrive on the carousel.
Kim's suitcase is a hardshell so virtually impervious to rain and Kyra's back pack is waterproof, but my luggage is neither of those (you may now have a vision of an ageing rock gods oversized and aged canvas bag) and everything I have with me is more than slightly moist after sitting in the rain on the tarmac for an hour. I don't know why.
But we are here. And it's a refreshing 38 degrees celsius.

Cool - now you know you are in Croatia. They move to the beat of their own timeframes there. We had an 1 1/2 hour wait in Zadar and that was just to get into the airport terminal! Watch out for rip off taxi drivers! I'm so envious of that heat wave although it did reach 12 degrees here today.
I really like this... one of those quiet images that packs a punch... I hope your stuff dries out quickly in that heat! Are you going to Dubrovnik? I highly recommend it!
