Decay

11.01 am: A dilapidated chocolate factory in Alphen aan den Rijn, a neighbouring town, built in the 1920s.

We happened upon it when we went out for a drive this morning. We took some photos and picked flowers with the girls, as there were a lot of lovely yellow ones alongside of the road.

My daily self portrait for the May challenge matches this shot: http://365project.org/halkia/themes-extra/2011-05-29

Love that the focus is on the barbed wire. Look at all of that glass...this must've once been a really sharp-looking building,

I like the one the barbwire really makes the shot! And for heavens sake why would the close a chocolate factory? :0D

How could you Dutch folk let a chocolate factory fall apart - wouldn't happen in Belgium?! ;0)

Great how the barbed wire frames the former chocolate factory. I'll bet it used to churn out really sweet treats.
