You'd love to say as a parent that you thrive in these moments* - that you just KNOW your kid's going to come through.... (But secretly you're just praying "please don't end the game! Please don't end the game!!) Well, I will tell you.....Cash did NOT end the game. (no game winning hit either) BUT he did walk! And ended up being the tying run when the boy two batters later got a hit. The winning run came in (sort of) right behind him! A walk off win for the Hooks - and better late than never!!
*I was not actually in this moment at all. I was doing soccer duty with Mike for his last game at the same time. David took this fabulous picture - which is why it is centered and in focus... ;) I heard all the thrilling details over a celebratory, post game, very late dinner.
