mint backed by thyme

Another from yesterday's close examination of the local Community Herb garden.

I need to take a semi- break so will be posting a few that I have processed on previous days - unless I just can't help myself taking more!

I will be limiting myself to a 30 minute window each day, until my to do list is looking a bit more manageable!

As ever, your visits, kind comments, suggestions, discussion and encouragement are always appreciated and never taken for granted.
I like the contrasts in the textures in this, and the lightness of the overall impression.

Setting a time limit sounds like a good idea!

I've never looked that closely at a mint leaf. It looks like spikes. Nice detail.

So this is what a mint leaf looks like close up! Very interesting! Excellent capture, Helen! Sharp details! :-)

Beautiful close up. Love the detail. Glad you are taking time for yourself. I post photos taken any time these days. Don't have time to take a photo every day. It is all about sharing rather than running yourself into the ground. Take care.

Another beautiful macro. I love the little 'hair'! And please take care of yourself and no worries... this is meant to be a fun and learning experience. It works best if you don't worry to much ;) your shots are wonderful and we'll take them at your pace!

I agree with Babs. I did use to worry, then I decided to relax. It's about the enjoyment of seeing things when you see them and storing up for later. Some days can be so uninspiring so I have to look back. Love this close up. Fav!

@justabetina thank you for your comments which I appreciate very much. I stuck to the limit yesterday, and hope to now!

@moonmtn @gaylewood I grew up with mint in the garden and only ever make mint sauce from scratch, so it is hard to imagine not knowing what a mint leaf looks like! I love how we all educate each other. Thanks for your kind comments.

@mariapachon Thank you Maria. I don't have a macro lens as my camera doesn't take lenses but I was very excited when I learned just a few weeks ago that it had a macro setting which enabled me to get closer.
