Cambodia: View from the butcher's villa

We travelled North to the Thai border in order to visit the world heritage site of Preah Vhear Temple - a dramatic setting but it was 'Oh so very hot!' Following this, we went to the villa of Ta Mok (known as the Butcher). He was the general of the army in the Khmer Rouge - the villa looks over to the lake of dead trees pictured here through the concrete shell remainder of Ta Mok's dwelling.
