I confess to a sinking feeling as I realised the extent of the fog when leaving my front door today, and no sign of the sun. This was my brief photography window en route to work and I felt that it held no promise.
I glanced back at the spot behind the wall where we have snowdrops every year and realised for the first time that they were actually out. Fast forward another twenty minutes of sitting on a damp step trying every angle imaginable to find a pleasing composition. Without having left my own house, I am approaching llate for work .... thank goodness for flexitime.
However, it was the moody fog that won the day for me because I so like the way it shows up the shape of the bare tree so perfectly. Snowdrops will appear in my extras album.
Beautiful scene. Fog does look lovely, but I used to hate driving in it when I lived in the UK. Plus when it was foggy it was always cold too. Very misty and drizzly rain here today, but very hot and humid at the same time. Ugh. Not sure which is worse, cold and fog or hot, humid and mist.
