Demolition in the sky

The building across the way from the one I work in is being demolished. The two buildings are very close together, and watching the painstaking demolition process as it progresses day-by-day is interesting. The amount of dust and debris being created in the surrounding area is remarkably little. This shot is taken from the top floor of my office building so the cement floor you can see here is several floors up
I suppose it's like watching a jigsaw but backwards, my husband used to drive cranes to build things but not demolish. It looks quite a clean site, not messy, so probably safe. Nice shot Helen!

@dianeburns Many thanks, Diane. It intrigues me how they get cranes into such tight spaces in the first places

Fascinating image both in terms of your description and the meticulous scene of demolition. I like all the lines and the pop of red.

Love the detail and the gritty quality here.

@taffy @tristansmum I realty appreciate your feedback. Thanks. I have been watching this demolition unfold for a few weeks and love the scene. Sadly my photography is not (yet) good enough to do it justice but I live in hope that one day ... :)
