On our day trip to the Dayqah Dam I was hoping for some off roading, but although we followed a dirt road it was quite boring. So the last day before school started, we did another trip. This time to Wadi Abyad. And... this was some real 4x4 driving. On internet I had read that you needed to be careful not to get stuck and that was true. We did not have any problems, but we saw 2 cars getting stuck. This was the first one, however, once help arrived it was out very quickly. Also tagging for the scenes of the road and word of the month volunteers/helpers
Such rugged country! So hard to imagine what it would be like there. It appears to be quite isolated with few people here and yet so close to a huge population base!
