Because we looked at dates for our move this summer, I really got an urge to take "Omani photos..." There are so many pretty things and I probably taken photos of most already... but... maybe the next picture is just better... And there are a lot of pretty things! Like this underpass for example!
And then there are the workers who just sweep the streets! Do you see them?! I often wonder if it is useful. Especially when I go on a hike or walk on the beach. It is sad to see so much trash that people have left behind... but would it not be more useful for this guys to pick up trash in stead of sweeping? Just a thought... for now I try to pick up some of that trash.
An artistic sensibility with this bridge- so unlike our utilitarian structures. As for the sweepers, I can see why the streets look so clean (but you do have a point about the beach).
Yes, the street sweeping is an endless job ... I dread to think of the dust buildup if they stopped. I agree that maybe more focus on the beach would help though. I did see a few workers out last night at the beach - just not enough for all the trash people leave
@clearday you are probably right about dust-buildup... Maybe some big fines and the ROP involved for people leaving trash on the beaches and near the wadis... it makes me so sad :(
