Queen's Pier by inthecloud5

Queen's Pier

Even at low tide the pier at Ramsey in the Isle of Man stretches way out into the sea. It's been closed since 1990 but is now being restored by some enthusiastic volunteers, who are making slow but steady progress along the 2240 foot long structure.

The weather was rather still and grey so probably not the best conditions for a long exposure shot but seeing as I had my tripod and filters I thought I might as well :)
fantastic image. love the spare minimalism and all that detail in the pier against the smooth silk of water and sand. amazing

It looks fabulous I hope it doesn't take too much longer to restore it to its former glory.

A lovely shot of this super structure. I remember walking along there before it's closure and the super views of town and hills from it.
