The black inflatable rubber thingy on the Spanish Arch quay is a flood barrier. The Spanish Arch is part of the old town walls of Galway and gets it's name from all the Spanish Galleons that discharged their wares here in the 17th century. It is prone to flood when the River Corrib is in full flow. The area behind the arch is called the Long Walk. This is where American Singer Steve Earle met his Galway Girl. Not the first time I have shown this area and may not be the last..Thanks for looking..
I love shots like these, almost monotone but with a touch of colour here and there. And you may have grey pewter skies in Ireland, but you certainly know how to use them to your advantage in a photograph.
I love the colour tones and your processing
