@andrina - Thanks Andrina. @anwan - thanks so much Anwan! They are all from the same two plants that I got last weekend except the one I did a close up of that was lime center with pink dots on the sepals. I have several that are only just starting to bud out - this pastel one from the nursery was most likely forced as it's early even for hellebores to flower.
This hellebore is from the Gold Collection and is named Jacob. It starts out pure white with a yellow center, then turns pale pink and finally orange/yellow and then the sepals go green. Many hellebores have their heads drooping downwards but some of the newer cultivars face out - makes them easier to photograph without plucking them like I had to do with the spotted one.
I'd wondered about them facing upwards so very obligingly, and about the yellow and the pink. I'm going to keep an eye out for the Gold Collection, I could easily find a spot for one of those!
Lovely hellebore, don't think I have seen this variety before. I have quite a few, but this year a lot of them haven't come up. I think it must be because it has been so wet, because they seem to have rotted.
@anwan - Check your local nurseries Anwan - I think it's a new variety - at least I haven't seen it before. There are several others in the Gold Collection I need to look for.
@jankoos - Thanks Jan - I think it's new - I was glad to find it because the blooms face out and it's really pretty. It could be they are slow coming up - it's pretty waterlogged here, too (climate like the UK but I think we get more rain) - some of mine are only just starting to peep out of the ground.
(Are all your Hellebores from the same series? I love the watercolor effect on this and your new yellow one.)
