Berlin Wall by jaybutterfield

Berlin Wall

A slab from the Berlin Wall on display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. In the midst of a beautiful setting, it is a stark reminder of how easily freedom can be lost . . . and how futile it is to try to imprison the human spirit.
Great shot! Love the reminder too.

I frowned my eyes when i saw the title 'Berlin wall' under this picture - didn't look like berlin :p I didn't know there where parts of the wall standing outside of Berlin now.. Nice capture of the piece of wall and it's environment!

@xof Evidently slabs of the Wall have been farmed out to various museums all over the world for the past 27 years. Sad to say neither of my children or their contemporaries have a historical perspective on what this meant.
