Its origins date back to 1640 as a fort. Until recently, the entrance to the site was free. In the present day you must pay an entrance fee, after the grant of the management of the area to a private company by the municipality.

great use of b&w in this shot. I agree that one should pay to see sites like this one - otherwise they would very often fall into neglect.

@sangwann thank you very much. This place has ever been in good conditions and well conserved because they were shops, souvenirs and many other things inside. It has been a place to visit for citizens and tourist for decades. :)
