Another photo of my tours in the Austrian Alps. You see a part of Gosaukamm. In my opinion this is one of the most impressive mountain ranges in Salzkammergut (Upper Austria).
This photo was taken at a hike with snowshoes.

Yes, I'm very aware of the beauty of the mountains. And try when rising to the summit include the essence of a mountain. In the mountains, everything is different than in the valley: the grasses, the flowers, the wind, the smells, the colors, the sky, the clouds and the sun. I feel good when I'm above the tree line and so close to heaven ...
But of course there are many, many beautiful places in this world. Unfortunately, life is too short to see everything...
But you also have to know that the mountains set limits. Sometimes they give no second chance...

Zen you mention ... Are you interested in Buddhism? I am attracted to an attitude aimed at larger contexts. Buddhism teaches to mutual respect - for every human being and all living beings. Buddhists are very peaceful and friendly people. I think those basics this world needs very urgent.
And I very appreciate the ink paintings of zen monks. These are wonderful works of art with the most economical means. They are of timeless beauty.
Thank you, Madeleine and Joanna, for your kind comments!
