We had a family walk along part of The Itchen Navigation, and came across some very pretty British White cattle near St Cross Hospital.
My camera has dated this the 2nd, but we were definitely out today, the 3rd!

You will have to have harsh words with your camera! Never seen this type of cattle - they have short legs? Or is most of the leg underground?

Probably a bit of both. They do have short legs and the ground was soft.

I knew this cow (well,not personally!) before I saw where you took the photo. St Cross is one of my favourite haunts. A lovely capture and good textures.

p.s. It only takes me 15 mins by car to reach the water meadows.
