A farmer's market has opened on Fridays at Kennedy Plaza in downcity Providence. Kennedy Plaza is the transportation hub for the state, so the location is perfect for people of all works of life that wish to support local businesses and local farms. Everything at the market is grown or produced in either Rhode Island or nearby Massachusetts, and since it represents local crops, everything is about as fresh as you can get it. In today's photo, we see this elderly couple out shopping for some fresh vegetables. The communal farmer's market concept has gained in popularity in the state over the last few years, but I couldn't help but wonder if this outdoor scene reminded this couple of a time when all produce was purchased in this type of setting.
Post processing started with a dynamic pop filter in topaz adjust. I adjusted the lighting, strength, and details, before returning to PSE. A slight levels adjustment was added. I also toned saturation down just a hair.
