The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

Perched on Smith Hill overlooking the city of Providence sits the fourth largest free-standing marble dome in the world. Only St. Peter's Basilica, the Minnesota State Capital, and the Taj Mahal are larger. Started in 1895 and completed in 1904, this is the 7th building to be used as the state capital in Rhode Island. It's resemblance to the US Capital allowed it to be used as a stand-in for that famous building in the movie Armistad.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. After adjusting the color sensitivity sliders I adjusted contrast, boost black, boost white, and preserve highlights. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
Great looking dome
