The plan for today's photo was to get a shot of the Temple to Music in Rhode Williams Park. While photographing the exterior columns, however, the three young ladies in this shot arrived for their own photo shoot. They consented to a candid shot while taking their own photos. The heavy down jackets give you a good indication of today's weather. When I left my house it was 20 degrees F (-7 C) with a wind-chill of 9 degrees F (-13 C.)
The textured marble in the Temple To Music makes the overall scene look like a charcoal rendering. That is the natural texture of the marble and was not enhanced beyond my typical contrast adjustments. Post processing started with a low contrast filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted the color sensitivity sliders, followed by adaptive exposure, contrast, protect highlights, boost black, and boost white. A levels and a brightness/contrast adjustment were added in PSE. I also applied a significant dodge on the snow, and topped it all off with a sepia photo filter.
