Winter decided to revisit us this morning. With a temperature hovering at 32, and wind chills around 25, I decided to visit Roger Williams Park for an early morning photo. As I arrived at the Temple to Music, seen in the background, this invigorating game of fetch was underway. The lab was insatiable and clearly enjoyed his early romp in the park.
Post processing started with a warm tone filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders followed by adaptive exposure, boost black, boost white, and contrast. I applied a slight dodge to the shadows on the pup in PSE, followed by a levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter. The early morning sun brightly lit the clouds in the background, but as you can see there were no foreground shadows. This produced a much harsher tone than I'd have preferred, but you do have to take what you get when it comes to candid lighting.
