Aquatic Drill by kannafoot

Aquatic Drill

With nothing specific in mind, I headed out towards the Warren and Barrington area for today's photo. I spotted this crew working a drill in the river along the Barrington River Bridge. I've no clue what they were drilling for, and neither did a handful of folks watching along the shore. What really caught my attention besides the activity, though, was the worn texture of the boat they had moored to the barge. The photo was left in color to highlight that boat and the rust textures in the barge itself.

Post processing started with a brilliant warm photo in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Here's the high res version on Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2013/i-DDdhGx6/0/XL/2013%2004%2011_0011%202%20copy-XL.jpg
