With Tropical Storm Andrea heading up the east coast, temperatures hovered in the mid-50s and the rain was hard and steady. That was enough to keep bathers off the beach and lifeguards off the stands at Rhode Island's state beaches. On a hot day, this kettle pond in Lincoln Woods State Park is packed with beach goers. The weather today, though, was miserable enough that I only saw one runner on the entire 2.5 mile ring road. This time of year, that road is normally packed with walkers, runners, and bikers.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, protect highlights, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
