It was starting to rain as I went out at lunch for today's photo, so I opted for a location that was close and with ample parking. Bold Point Park off Veteran's Parkway has a very active boater section this time of year, and I wasn't disappointed. This fisherman was just unloading his boat and preparing for an afternoon fishing for stripers. The way he held the rope like a lasso reminded me more of a cowboy than a fisherman, hence the caption.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, protect highlights, boost black, boost white, contrast, and color sensitivity sliders. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
