Sketch Class

Once again I headed downcity for some street photography at lunch for today's photo session. Along the riverfront I encountered an art class from RISD doing a series of sketches of the high rise buildings across the river. This one student was sitting apart from the class and, of all of them, had the most complete sketch on paper. Just as I started to explain the photo-a-day concept and ask if he minded being photographed, another student came running up and said, "He's going to lunch now. He's going to lunch." A bit annoyed, I simply responded, "My shutter is at 1/1000 second. I think he'll make it." The student in the photo, however, never even looked up. He ignored both of us. When I knelt to take the photo, the other intrusive student scampered off. Interestingly, the teacher that was with them never said a word.

Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
