Smoke Break by kannafoot

Smoke Break

I parked at the Roger Williams National Memorial at lunch, planning to walk down South Water Street for some street photography. Getting out of my car, though, I noticed this gentleman puffing up a storm, sitting on the steps of the Memorial. He was smoking the fattest, um, "self-rolled herb" I had ever seen. We talked for a bit - he was a bit fascinated by the history of Roger Williams - and I snapped a few photos. This one, with the smoke billowing in front of his face, really caught my attention.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment and sepia photo filter were added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2013/i-38jqwVL/0/XL/2013%2007%2003_0004%20copy-XL.jpg
