The corner of Gentian Avenue and Smithfield Road on the Providence / North Providence border sits at the low point between three hills. The only thing missing at this intersection is an adequate storm drain system. It doesn't take much rain to get the puddles forming, and in a very heavy storm you can canoe across it. We only had a few downbursts this morning to produce the water seen in today's photo.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
