Calling it a Day

Sometimes - rarely, but sometimes - the challenge is not finding a photo for the daily upload, but rather it's choosing one photo out of many to use for that single "photo-a-day" image. Today was one of those days where I had difficulty choosing. I'm on vacation this week, and since the weather finally cleared I went down to Point Judith to see what of interest was photogenic. The image before you was taken at Camp Cronin about 1/4 mile from the Point Judith Lighthouse. This fisherman had been fishing off the breakwater all morning but hadn't felt even a nibble. He finally decided to call it a day and I was able to get this photo of him walking along the rocky beach heading back to his car.

Post processing started with a brilliant cold filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
