Crescent Park by kannafoot

Crescent Park

Crescent Park was the site of one of Rhode Island's many amusement parks dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Over the latter half of the century, all of the parks went out of business. Crescent Park was one of the last hold-outs (survived only by Rocky Point) but it eventually succumbed to economic pressures as well. All that remains today is the carousel seen in the background. The area with the gazebo in the foreground was once part of the amusement park, but today's it's an open green park with a nice view of the water. I like the symmetry between the gazebo and carousel, though, and that's today's subject.

Post processing started with a russet filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A warming filter was added in PSE.
