State Capital

I really wanted to do this in black and white, but unfortunately I just could not get the sky to cooperate. I finally decided to stick with the color version. For today's photo, I went downcity intending to get a black and white of some of the interesting architecture. It was just one of those days where nothing really clicked, though - no pun intended. This photo of the RI State House was a last-minute "just in case" safety shot, and it's the one I ended up using. Ah, well. We all have off days, I guess.

Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2013/i-NnM7Q6p/0/XL/2013%2010%2001_0052%202%20copy-XL.jpg
it's a beautiful sky though

@tryingforsighs Thanks, Rachel. I was getting desperate! Time was running out at lunch, and this was my last photo of the session.
