My Sunday Brunch Meetup Group met in Attleboro for brunch today, so I took the opportunity to drive around the city to see what would make an interesting photo. These 19th century buildings in the center of town fit the bill perfectly, especially with the peeling paint on the side and the early 19th century style windows on the first floor. I waited around hoping someone - anyone - would walk into the scene, but there was no activity at all in the area.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Woops, just realised that I wasn't following you! Thank-you for all the complements recently. I love this- it's so interesting and the stormy sky above is captured wonderfully. :-)
I was in a Sunday brunch meet up group in Berlin and really enjoyed relaxed time, good food in new settings. I like this image you've captured, and I see what you mean in wanting someone to walk into the image. Maybe you should bring a tripod along, and then YOU could walk into your own image!
