Two large blackboards have appeared in Providence, providing space for visitors to least the one thing they absolutely must accomplish in their lifetime. They are part of the "Pop-Up Providence" program that's increasing the number of outdoor social events in the city. One board is in Grant's Block, somewhat hidden in the nightlife and theater districts. This one is front-and-center in Kennedy Plaza, outside Burnside Park and across from the transportation center. You can see how popular they are since there's very little space left in which to write. The boards will be taken down December 30th for the winter.
When I arrived, I positioned myself to photograph the board and anyone that happened to walk by. The pair in this photo came up behind me and the young lady, seeing me composing the photo, said, "Would you mind if we went up to the board?" Mind? Heck no, that's what I was hoping to photograph! So the timing here was perfect. They both planned to write on the board, and both were eager to be photographed while doing it.
Post processing started with a detail light filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Great composition too!
