Interesting. Besides the excellent foreground, the background is out of focus enough to not exactly distract from the foreground, but interesting enough to make a compeling pattern. A judge would say "it's a pity the dragonfly isn't pointing towards the camera", but I don't care, the sharpness is great and I like it :-)
Oh Kim, this is fantastic! I think that what really completes the shot is the dried grass at the top - adds marvelous interest. Very nicely composed, too ( You beat me to the punch! My dragonfly picture is intended for tomorrow's post; c'est coinicidence, non?) Take care,Les
@glimpses Thanks so much Les, I agree about the grass but I was just shooting rapidly to try and catch them when they settled and didnt notice it until I loaded them onto the pc.
@kdrinkie Hi, Kim - You know, when I looked at this again, I was still so in love with that I had to fave it; it really is something special. Looking closer, I saw the "viney thing" wrapping upwards on the grass, and the curl is so delicate. WOW! Hope you and yours have a swell week, Les
@glimpses Thank you so much Les for your Fav! I really appreciate all of your comments and look forward to hearing your thoughts when I post. Have a great week. :)
