Hurricanes always bring out the surfers, both before and after, so I headed to Nauset Beach to catch some action. This one boy just kept going and going and going. I couldn't decide on a photo. My family chose this one, but I posted another one of him where you can actually see his face in my Second Take album here:
I like this shot best of the two. It's nice to see his face on one hand but in this shot you don't need his face to tell the story ... the power of the water and the athleticism to stay on the board. Very nice shots, both of them. Great motion in the water. I hope all the surfers and everyone else stays safe. They're making the impending storm sound very bad.
wow! incredible action shot Laurie! stay away from that surf now, please! Hope you and yours stay safe from the onslaught. thank you so much for your words of support - they mean the world to me. I'm just taking a quick break here to try and catch up. will eventually even post! I solved my computer problem, so that's one thing. my SF boy is moved and settled (?). Packing up my Michigan boy and dealing with this adorable puppy who decided to take several steps backward in her housetraining. grrrrrr. . . thinking of you, my dear!!!
I'm not a surfer, but it seems he's going about this all wrong. Shouldn't he be turned the other direction, riding the wave, instead of trying to crash into it?
Re: I needed some quiet time, it was nice :]
