A Different Kind of Day by lauriehiggins

A Different Kind of Day

Today was as balmy as May with temperatures in the high 60's, but I did not have a chance to enjoy it. I filed two stories, interviewed an author I adore, wrote a rough draft of a third story and then joined my husband at a wine and food tasting at the Chatham Bars Inn, where I practiced taking photos of strangers.

No one blinked an eye at my camera, but it was still surprisingly hard to get a good photo because there were so many people milling around. This photo was the best that I managed to capture of the event.
You did a pretty good job with this one. Tells the story perfectly, without a lot of distracting background.

Laurie, this could be an ad for whatever wine that was. Really beautifully captured. I took photos at a large party and they all came out like crap. Perhaps it had something to do with wine; I don't quite recall.
