Drippy Faucet II by lynne5477

Drippy Faucet II

Tried a re-shoot with a black background on the water drops out of the kitchen faucet. Here is the original I posted http://365project.org/lynne5477/365/2017-03-21 if you have the time to compare and let me know what you think....or if you have suggestions to improve it. Thanks in advance for your time and comments.
Superb capture

This great. After comparing, I like the light one, because of the refracted image of the shadow in the drops.

Fabulous capture!

Very nice, I think I prefer the other version :)

This is nice & the tap looks more " dramatic", but I think I prefer the other one as the water drops are clearer.

@sarasotab @hermann @carole_sandford Thanks so much for your comments and letting me know you prefer the lighter image of the drippy faucet. I was leaning that way as well and just needed a little push.

@paul10 @homeschoolmom Thank you for your comments and your time.

nice job, the drips seem to show up better in your excellent first shot

Great job! I'm torn in the comparison. I like how the drops show up more clearly in the other shot, but I like the drama and subtlety of this shot. So I like them both for different reasons.

What a great capture! The drama is stronger here, but the droplets show up more in the lighter version. Both are terrific.

Love the dramatic feel here - but guess I'd have to agree that the other shows off that amazing drop better - which surprises me somewhat.

love the clarity of the water droplet

This is a nice shot but I think I prefer the first, lighter one in general. The solid background would work if it was a lighter colour I think. The solid black doesn't work with water drops.

Hmm....hard to choose but I think I personally prefer the black background. Probably because it is so dramatic.

Wonderful capture of the dropping water! Both of your pics of this are nice, but I prefer the black background ...Just my personal opinion, but I think that the water drops are still clear enough, and I like the way that the faucet shines against the darker background.

@lynnz @marcy0414 @taffy @milaniet @blueberry1222 @farmreporter @365karly1 @dsp2 Thank you all for your comments on the drippy faucets. Looks like it's about 50/50 as to which people prefer - the lighter version or the black background. Now I'm stumped.

I prefer the lighter one. The drops stand out better and the faucet shadow add some depth. This one emphasizes the faucet rather than the drops which are the stars of the shot.

Perfect timing. Brilliant. Fav

Love this uncluttered version, but the drips show up better on the light one. Hard to choose - both are great!

I like the tap and the air of mystery in this shot but I really like how defined the drops are in the lighter version. I sort of feel that here the tap is the star, whereas it's the water drops in the other one. All in all I think I would choose the other one over this one.

Awesome capture. That would be very hard to do.

I know I've already commented, but thought that I would add: If you have Photoshop or a similar editing program, maybe you could blend the two shots to get the best of both!

Lovely, I like the colour one too

Great capture of the droplets. Fav!! 😀

Nice shot

Wow — the black background makes the drops really stand out. Each shot has such well-caught, very interesting water droplets. Good catch on both.

What timing and drama!
