I really like the image Moni and your choice of red for the selective colour really pops. Herzog was known for his colour work and rarely shot in black and white but he did document the buildings and the people of his city so in that respect what you have done here could certainly be considered in his style. The film he used, Kodachrome slide film, was known for its deep, saturated reds so again, your red harkens to his style.
@cdcook48 Thanks Chris for the info. I didn't dwell too much on investigating the style of Herzog. Only that particular retro shade of red stuck with me. I went for the black and white conversion because that particular building is a horrific peachy colour that would have made the red door and frame fade into nothing. I did go for the red shade. I am not sure what I've done.
To tell you a little secret, there was a young person with some red accents in their clothing and I struggled to get them in the frame, but by the time yours truly pulled the camera out and set it properly, they went away from the frame.
