I was at the pet shop down the road to pick a new swing for Little Miss Stevie when I saw this deadly little critter in a tank. There were crickets around her for breakfast... but I think she had had her fill.
The manager told me that the scorpion was a female.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
Oh Lynda! Good photo, but scorpians probably creep me out even more than spiders! Is this really available as a "pet"?! Imagine! (I need a little more Miss Stevie to overcome this one!)
You and your mom are so sweet with your comments about Dill...I wanted to be sure to let you know that always makes me smile. You love your budgie the same & know what I mean :-)
Louise: yes, it was available as a pet... amazing but true. I just couldn't have something as creepy as that in my house and still sleep in my bed at night. *shudders* No way. I'd rather have a cute little fluffy bird (or in your case, Dill), who appreciates me by blowing me lovely little kisses and does mischievous things in her spare time.
By the time I left the pet shop, she had curled up her tail and pulled in her claws for a day for snoozing... but still, she looked terrifying even asleep.

Nice shot :)
