Today, we took off early and drove to Dad's work at Virginia to attend his farewell morning tea. The place had changed a lot since the last time I had been there and the there were a lot of people who attended it to see him off too.
Quite a few family members showed up; including my brother, Gabe, Dad's sister and her husband, Mum's two brothers and sister and some of Dad's old workmates as well who used to work there. It was a great turnout. He had been working there for 42 years and will be greatly missed by all of them.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@sapphirenicole@digitalrn@loey5150@cmt2812 thank you all for you lovely comments. We did go off to the Virginia Golf Course to have lunch, but I found the food there terrible. Mum told me that people only order bowls of chips or wedges to eat... well, personally, you shouldn't have to do that if you're really hungry; you should be able to eat anything on the menu. I had what was supposed to be a Vegetarian Lasagne; but it looked and tasted disgusting.
